This day starts again with constantly beating rain. I doubt I will make it to Castlebar. No, I'm convincd I won't make it! But after I'm asked to not end this day with another short post I find new energy and strength to go. As Chris has to make the buyings he goes with me to Castlebar.
The lovely city of Castlebar presents the same rainy face like Achill Island and i walk around getting drenched watching the possible actions to take which are as follows:
- getting five times a haircut
- have a beauty treatment three times
- visit fashion shops several times
- step into some pubs
- buying fish or pancakes at four stands
- making three different mobile contracts
I decide to have an irish coffee and get a little bit more dry before i walk to the Tesco supermarket to buy the export goods (Guinness, Cidre, Scones, Tea, Crisps, HP Sauce, Malt vinegar and an extra bag to carry all of it).
In the night we're heading to the pubs. The first one is empty like a desert and we leave it after the first pint to go to a tiny little pub where the guests are playing and singing irish songs. It's no 20 m² big and once it was a pub then a cowshed and now a pub again. Very nice ambience in here. The Guinness tastes a lot better here. A very nice last evening. :-)
