The second day on the emerald isle is going unspectacular. I get used to the climate conditions what means that I'm tired all the time and I snooze on the lounge. To get out of the family action with sick and crying childs I'm first to go to the supermarket and buy milk. I walk down the hundred meters to the shop and check out the specialties.
The supermarket is a small cute one of his kind. But there is the one or the other thing that catches my interest and might be worth to export and try out. I decide to buy a selection of goods for my way home. The little excursion gives fresh air to the head and helps to snooze some more in the flat.
In the afternoon we settle the sheeps... the cars and go to Masterssons to get around the cooking problem caused by missing gas. The supper is good by taste and quality and I am convinced it will not be the last supper at all. Lucky me! I eat my first fish & chips. The fish is as big as my foot and as the chips are brought by the nice lady I ask myself if it's normal that you get half an acre of potatoe harvest served to your meal. At least you surely get full by a serving. The chips i season with salt and vinegar as you do in english countries. Tasty!
Getting in talk with a few irish men is funny because they are happy about my german origin and we understand good. Exception is the one old man who is talking a dialect that I would not define as anything I ever heard. Result of our chat is that Moms are Moms and that they ever will be. They are concerning too much about their sons and daughters.
By the way this is my virgin righthanddrive in Ireland and it works out pretty good. I hit the door when I try to switch gears, grab the wrong side when fastening seat-belts and I don't get the thing with lights, indicator lights and wipers but slide by slide I get used with.
The day ends in the refreshing cool shadows of the house. But I don't want to be that complaining. We distributed electrical heaters around the house and i got my own for my room. For this I can sleep in a warm nice room. Again my sleep is long and deep.
